I've been looking at too many Richter pictures recently.  In the photo above is Brad Jungwirth – a baritone with an incredible, barreling voice. After trying to produce decent shots under fluorescent light with tech equipment everywhere and workout mats inescapably cluttering the background, I gave up and went the slow-shutterspeed and zoom approach.   The result is something that I think matches the German Romantic tone of Chicago Opera Vanguard's Winterreise pretty well.

I took an ambling train ride down to South Bend this weekend to gather a few hundred composite bits for a an image of painter / curator Jason Lahr at work in his studio.  Expect something rough here soon...
